HIGHLIGHTS

Health actuarial role in the Texas Department of Insurance in Austin. You will perform actuarial examinations, review actuarial opinions, and analyze reserves for life, annuity and health insurers. Position spans Actuary III–IV experience levels and may be hybrid based in Austin, TX.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Perform actuarial examinations and prepare examination reports for health insurers
Review actuarial opinions, supporting reports, and reserve analyses
Work with regulatory teams on solvency and audit-related matters
Hybrid-eligible role based in Austin, TX (secure home workspace required)
Actuary III–IV levels; progression toward or holding ASA/FSA expected

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year college required

Actuary IV requires ASA or FSA and membership in the American Academy of Actuaries
Experience with reserving, solvency regulation, or actuarial audits for life/health
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; TDI does not sponsor visas
