Client-facing actuarial consultant

Closer to client-facing consulting than an internal reserving cycle role because recommendations, relationships, and simultaneous engagements drive the work.

VP-level P&C actuarial consulting role in Atlanta or another US Marsh office, focused on reserving, liability analysis, and bespoke actuarial models. You’ll advise clients, lead multiple project workstreams, review analysts’ work, and help develop practice tools and standards. The role is hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience
  • Strong reserving background
  • ACAS or FCAS designation
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Nice to have

  • Experience with Python, R, VBA, or SQL
  • Ability to take initiatives to improve analytics techniques, process and output
  • Statistics skills including GLM, Bayesian probability, and other machine-learning techniques
