Client-facing actuarial consultant
Closer to consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role because client recommendations, relationship development, and project leadership are central.
VP-level P&C actuarial claims consulting role, available in Houston and other US Marsh offices. You’ll deliver advanced reserving and liability analyses, build bespoke actuarial models, advise clients, and lead multiple project workstreams. The hybrid schedule requires at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience with a strong reserving background
- ACAS or FCAS designation
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team
Nice to have
- Experience with Python, R, VBA, or SQL
- Ability to take initiatives to strive for improvement in analytics techniques
- Statistics skills including GLM, Bayesian probability, and machine learning techniques
