Client-facing actuarial consultant
Closer to client-facing consulting than a reserving cycle role because the work spans bespoke client needs and concurrent projects rather than internal quarter-close reporting.
VP-level P&C actuarial consulting role in Dallas, or another US Marsh office, supporting clients with complex reserving, liability and cash-flow analysis. You will build bespoke models, lead concurrent projects, review analysts’ work and help improve the Claims Consulting Practice. The role is hybrid, with at least three days per week in the office.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
- 5+ years of P&C actuarial experience with strong reserving background
- ACAS or FCAS designation preferred
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, actuarial science, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Nice to have
- Experience with Python, R, VBA, or SQL
- Ability to take initiative to improve analytics techniques, process and output
- Statistics skills including GLM, Bayesian probability, and machine learning techniques
