Role type

Structured actuarial rotation program

Closer to a structured student development programme than a specialist pricing role because two planned rotations broaden exposure across actuarial disciplines.

Associate-level P&C pricing role in Liberty Mutual’s Boston-based Actuarial Development Program. You’ll lead actuarial work for newly launched Pet Insurance products, including rate indications, filing support, rate strategies, profitability analysis, and cross-functional recommendations. The role is rotational, with two rotations across pricing, reserving, modelling, and analytics.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum of 2 CAS exams passed (MAS I, MAS II, Exam 5, Exam 6)
  • Commitment to pursuing ACAS/FCAS designation
  • 2-4 years relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or related field

Strongly preferred

  • Intermediate MS Office Excel and SAS skills
  • Basic actuarial techniques and standards knowledge
  • Solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with some direction

Nice to have

  • Programming skills are desirable
