Entry-level Health actuarial analyst role in Woodbury, New Jersey, supporting stop-loss pricing and underwriting. You’ll analyze medical claims and membership data, develop pricing assumptions and actuarial models, evaluate benefit plans, and present findings to business partners. The role is hybrid but requires four days per week in the office.
Requirements
Strongly preferred
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or another quantitatively rigorous field
Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
Completion of two or more actuarial exams
At least one actuarial internship or other directly relevant analytical experience
Exposure to or interest in learning SQL, Python, and AI-enabled analytical tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to pursuing actuarial credentials, continuous learning, and professional growth
Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned work
Demonstrated leadership through academic, professional, or extracurricular activities
