Mid-level Health actuarial analyst role in Newark, NJ, with remote work, focused on Stop Loss and Level Funded products. You’ll support pricing, underwriting, reserving, forecasting, data analysis, and renewal or new-business decisions while partnering with internal and external customers.

Requirements

Must have

2+ years of actuarial and/or statistics experience
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences or related field
Expert knowledge of Excel
Knowledge of features of Stop Loss product from Actuarial and UW perspective
Must live in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut or Delaware

Strongly preferred

Working towards ASA highly preferred
Strong working knowledge of data analysis and Actuarial principles
In depth knowledge of the healthcare industry
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical thinking
Strong mathematical skill and statistical analysis abilities
Good judgment and problem-solving skills

Nice to have

Experience with Level Funded products, medical Stop Loss or Reinsurance products preferred
Experience with SQL, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, or other analytical/reporting tools preferred
