Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the emphasis is guided exposure, networking, and presentations rather than independent model ownership.

P&C actuarial internship in the Cincinnati area, based in Amelia, Ohio, supporting pricing and rating work across specialty insurance lines. You’ll clean data, assist with standard actuarial indications, and perform Excel-based analysis, with opportunities to use coding and present projects to senior leaders. The role is hybrid, with approximately 40-50% of time in the office.

Requirements

Must have

  • Passed at least one actuarial exam
  • Authorized to work in US permanently without sponsorship (no OPT/CPT)

Strongly preferred

  • Pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in Actuarial Science, Math or related field
  • Rising junior or senior at time of internship
  • Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for summer
  • Ability to work in hybrid environment (40-50% in Amelia, OH office)
  • Reliable transportation to commute to office
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative
