Health actuarial internship with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey in Newark, NJ, supporting pricing, reserving, experience studies, and financial analysis. You’ll work with actuarial and analytics data sets using Excel, VBA or SQL, and possibly SAS. This is an 11-week hybrid program requiring an undergraduate degree in a quantitative field and at least one completed actuarial exam.

Must have

  • At least one actuarial exam completed

Strongly preferred

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics
  • High degree of skill in mathematics and statistics
  • Affinity for learning to use and develop technical tools for data
  • Willingness to discover opportunities for leveraging data
  • Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of VBA or SQL
