Director-level Life actuarial role in Pacific Life’s Enterprise Finance & Actuarial Projects team, based in Newport Beach, Omaha, or Charlotte. You’ll own enterprise-wide actuarial initiatives, including VM-22 implementation, reporting transformations, governance, and cross-functional change, while leading a team of 3+ actuaries.
Requirements
Must have
8+ years of relevant experience in the life insurance or reinsurance industry
Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent professional qualification
Strongly preferred
Deep working knowledge of actuarial reporting frameworks
Experience operating as a product owner, delivery lead, or technical lead roles on project-based work
Strong ability to synthesize complex technical topics into clear, decision-oriented messaging for senior leaders and non-actuarial stakeholders
Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver results in a fast-paced, ambiguous, matrixed environment
Experience working with external stakeholders to drive results
Nice to have
VM-22 expertise
Experience with actuarial modeling paired with a strong technical skillset
Strong project management and communication skills
Knowledge and awareness of insurance regulations and recent developments
