Client-facing annuity consulting leader
Closer to client-facing consulting than an in-house pricing partner: success depends on advisory delivery, executive communication, and industry development across engagements.
Senior Life actuarial consulting role focused on individual annuities, based in Boston with a hybrid schedule. You will lead pricing, product development, valuation, hedging, and regulatory analyses while advising clients, presenting to executives, and developing junior staff.
Requirements
Must have
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with annuity products
- Must work in local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week
Strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Finance, or a related field
- Hands-on involvement in pricing, product development, and/or inforce management of annuity products
- ASA or FSA credential
- Knowledge of the annuity market landscape, including key players, trends, and regulatory changes
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Capability to lead teams and manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective organizational skills with focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have
- Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., FSA, MAAA)
- Knowledge in financial modeling systems (AXIS, Prophet) or scripting languages (R, Python)
