Closer to client-facing transaction consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role—the defining feature is turning analysis into deal advice and executive recommendations.
Senior P&C M&A consulting actuary role with Oliver Wyman's US P&C practice, based flexibly in the Northeast with a hybrid pattern. You will perform actuarial due diligence for acquisitions and reinsurance transactions, quantify downside risk, analyze pricing and reserving, and present findings to senior executives and clients.
Requirements
Must have
- FCAS credential required
Strongly preferred
- BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance or related field
- 3+ years of professional actuarial experience in consulting or insurance
- Broad exposure to P&C insurance in pricing, reserving, data & analytics, or risk management
- Subject matter expertise in at least one P&C area
- Ability to lead and manage projects, including effective delegation and client solution development
- Proficiency in open-source programming languages such as Python or R
- Ability to deliver against tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Detail-oriented with ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
- Intellectual curiosity and ability to think strategically and creatively
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial attitude, and not afraid of long hours
- Strong communication skills
