Client-facing actuarial consultant

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role because project delivery and stakeholder communication span multiple actuarial disciplines.

Associate-level P&C actuarial consulting role in Oliver Wyman’s P&C Actuarial Practice, based primarily in New York City or Chicago with a three-day office expectation. You’ll support client projects across pricing, reserving, capital modeling, actuarial modernization, data modernization, and AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum 3 passed actuarial exams

Strongly preferred

  • BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field
  • 1+ years of actuarial experience
  • Commitment to pursuing CAS actuarial credentials
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • AI proficiency for modeling and analytics

Nice to have

  • Programming knowledge (Python, R, SQL)
