Client-facing actuarial consultant

Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy internal role because recommendations, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery drive the work.

P&C actuarial consulting Manager role in New York City, with Chicago and other Oliver Wyman locations also considered. You will lead client workstreams across pricing, reserving, and capital modeling, developing actuarial models and modernizing workflows with analytics, automation, and AI. The role is hybrid, with at least three days per week in an office or at client sites.

Requirements

Must have

  • BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of actuarial experience
  • Minimum of 5 passed actuarial exams (CAS pathway)

Strongly preferred

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and analytical mindset
  • Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Experience utilizing AI technologies for modeling and analytics
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, SQL)
