Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to an underwriting-partner role than a modelling-heavy IC position because pricing recommendations are developed with market-facing Underwriting and Product Management.

Senior P&C pricing role in Zurich North America's General Liability Pricing team, based in Overland Park or another US office on a hybrid schedule. You'll support rate indications, rating plans, portfolio strategies, predictive-model pricing tools, governance, and underwriting decisions. The role is available at Senior Actuarial Analyst or Associate Actuary level.

Requirements

Must have

Successful completion of 5 or more CAS exams (with Associate degree or Bachelor's) AND 2+ years actuarial experience (Sr Analyst route)
Successful completion of 3 or more CAS exams with 3+ years actuarial experience (Sr Analyst alt route)
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Statistics or Actuarial Sciences and 5+ years actuarial experience AND ACAS or equivalent (Associate Actuary)
Eligible to work without visa sponsorship

Strongly preferred

Experience in pricing, reserving, or capital management
Proficiency in pricing studies: rate indications, trend studies, parameter analysis
Proficiency with Pricing Tools including development, deployment, and monitoring
Familiarity with Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics and data transformation for IT
Familiarity with statistical/predictive modeling: decision trees, clustering, GLMs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical results
Experience collaborating on cross-functional team projects
