Senior Manager health actuarial role supporting a Medicare Advantage business in the United States. You will lead strategic operations, enterprise performance reporting, AI-enabled analytics, financial integration, and executive decision support while managing and developing a team. The role is remote-first and pays $157,700-$205,000 annually.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (ASA/FSA)
  • Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in actuarial, healthcare finance, population health, analytics, consulting, strategy, or operations
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and organizational change
  • Strong understanding of Medicare Advantage economics including medical cost trends, utilization management, risk adjustment, provider reimbursement, pharmacy spend, and/or value-based care
  • Advanced SQL and Excel skills, with experience using Python or R, business intelligence platforms, and modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or comparable technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to apply AI and automation to analytical workflows, operational efficiency, reporting, or business decision-making
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills, ability to translate complex analysis into clear recommendations
  • Proven experience leading and developing senior analysts, actuaries, or finance professionals
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex environments
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build trusted cross-functional partnerships in a matrixed organization
  • Collaborative, adaptable, proactive leadership style with interest in scalable operating models and modern ways of working
