Role type

Enterprise quantitative risk strategist

Closer to capital and risk strategy than a modelling-heavy IC role because it combines enterprise oversight, hedging decisions and executive people leadership.

Executive Life actuarial risk leadership role in Columbus, Ohio, with remote eligibility across the lower 48 states. You’ll oversee hedging for annuity and life products, quantitative risk strategies, GPU-based stochastic modelling, the Enterprise Economic Scenario Generator, and a multi-level team.

Requirements

Must have

  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation

Strongly preferred

  • Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA)
  • Ten or more years of actuarial experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related mathematical field
  • Extensive knowledge of risk management, financial engineering, stochastic processes, derivatives, actuarial science
  • Broad knowledge of financial services industry and life insurance accounting/finance
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work with senior management and external partners

Nice to have

  • Certificate of Quantitative Finance (CQF) or similar financial engineering credential
