Capital and risk strategy leader

Closer to capital and risk strategy than a reserving cycle role—the emphasis is forward-looking economics, risk trade-offs, and enterprise decisions rather than routine reporting.

Executive Life actuarial leadership role overseeing inforce management for individual annuities in Newport Beach, Omaha, or Charlotte. You’ll turn profitability, experience, stress-testing, and risk analytics across products such as Variable Annuity, RILA, FIA, MYGA, and payout annuities into executive decisions, while leading teams and influencing product, finance, capital, and risk partners.

Requirements

Strongly preferred

  • 12+ years of progressive actuarial experience within life insurance
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field
  • FSA strongly preferred (ASA with substantial leadership experience considered)
  • Deep understanding of annuity products and inforce management
  • Strong actuarial foundation connecting experience analysis to business outcomes
  • Proven ability to drive decisions
  • Executive-level communication skills to simplify complex topics
  • Highly consultative with ability to challenge assumptions and influence outcomes

Nice to have

  • MBA or advanced business degree
